I recently traveled to Alberta to attend a two day lighting workshop by Joe McNally. After the workshop, I spent a week visiting family and managed to get in two days of wildlife photography. I wasn’t too pleased when it snowed for three days straight, but it was fantastic when in came time to doing some photography. Braving the -24 degree weather, my brother Peter and I explored the Banff, Canmore, and Kananaskis areas. It was a very productive two days of photography, with big-horn sheep, white-tailed and mule deer, elk, moose and coyotes. I was really pleased to finally get a bull moose later in the year than mid July, after spending many trips to Algonquin Park looking for them.
